Memory
Memory events are one of the many event types in Lady Popular. This event came to us in February of 2024.
You play a popular card-flipping memory game to win items.

On the app is pretty similar to on the website.
On The Website
To get to events (and memory events), hover over the far-right icon on the top of your screen:

When we open the event, it looks like this:
Clicking on the question mark "HOW TO" icon brings up these instructions:
Open the cards in pairs of two. If the images are not the same, these two cards will close again.
Let us get started! Here is what it looks like when you first open a new game.

Update 3/17: The board sizes are random and include 3x3 with the center filled in, 4x3, 4x4, and 5x4. The number of free moves also changes, it appears we have much less per tile.
First, let me flip two tiles.
They now flip back over, since they're not matching. I flipped over the tile between them, and it was a match with the first one, so I flipped the first one back over to complete the pair.
After working through it a bit, I've gotten quite a few pairs!
Two more left! They'll be a match for sure.
Great, I finished the board and got 53 ribbons.

SO FAR, I'VE SEEN RIBBON PRIZES RANGING FROM 20 TO 300. IT APPEARS TO BE RANDOM. Most commonly, I've gotten 20.
You can also get Fashion Arena energy (about 5), Beauty Pageant energy (about 5), Beauty Pageant passes, dollars (3-5k), and boosters.

Update 3/17: Prizes now seem to be averaging more about 20-100.
If you don't finish your game with the given free tries, don't worry! You can flip tiles using two emeralds.
You get one free game every hour, but you can also spend 6 diamonds if you don't want to wait.
Tips
Since you have a limited amount of free tries, I strongly recommend keeping track of the tiles you have flipped.

I also recommend starting in the top left, and working your way through the board (keeping track of everything), making a match if it's the first tile you flip and you know where the second is.
There are MANY different ways you can do this, so do what works best for you! Here are some suggestions:

Make a 5x4 grid on paper and write them down.

Make a 5x4 digitally and write them down.

Use a note in your phone to write them down.

Make a 5x4 grid using Google Sheets and write them down. This is what I did, so I can color code them.
