Gifts
Gift are one of the many event types in Lady Popular.
You participate in Fashion Arena duels to win participate in the gift event. Then you buy gifts.

To get to events (and gift events), hover over the far-right icon on the top of your screen:

To win, in this case, "Planets" we have to win Fashion Arena duels. When you win, you will receive planets for the gift event.
Gift events have a discounted price for a bit, but
after a specific date the prices increase.

You also have to wait to open gifts in the beginning. If you buy a gift before the "free open" date, you can either store it in your inventory or consume it using diamonds.
